I spent a couple of nights here and while it had its ups and downs, overall it was a decent stay for the price. The lack of air conditioning made the heat a bit unbearable at times, but the friendly staff and good service were highlights. The location couldn't be better, as it's close to major sights and great for exploring the area on foot. Just be prepared for basic comfort in the rooms.

I had a wonderful stay at Los Amigos! The hostel is clean and comfortable, with a great location that makes it easy to explore Madrid. My stay at this place was a total nightmare. From messed-up reservations to rude staff, it was stressful from the start. The only somewhat redeeming part was that the cleaners were polite, and I did meet some interesting fellow travelers.
